My mom and I flew to Jejudo for my dad’s last weekend and to help him move back. Saturday morning they woke me up at 5:20AM. I threw on every layer I brought - approximately 7 - and groggily jumped into the car. The next time I saw the car was 11 hours later, after the most grueling 10-hour hike. Without exaggeration, we walked 9 solids hours in the rain, snow, & hail (in that respective order). I was determined my legs were going to fail me but somehow we reached the highest point of S. Korea. Nothingggggg felt sweeter than seeing the car at the end of the hike, jumping into the warm shower, re-nourishing ourselves with a hearty meal, and sleeping for 11 full hours. (:
